"The Defenders" Places First in Viewers and Adults 25-54

"Survivor: Nicaragua" Continues Its Time-Period-Winning Streak

CBS Wins Wednesday for the Fifth Consecutive Week in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS won Wednesday in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the fifth consecutive week as SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA continued its time-period-winning streak, CRIMINAL MINDS posted gains over last week and THE DEFENDERS placed first in viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Oct. 20.

SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA was first in households (6.9/12), viewers (12.00m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and adults 18-49 (3.5/11). CBS swept this time slot for the sixth consecutive week.

At 9:00 PM, CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (8.6/14), viewers (14.30m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.6/10). Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +6% in adults 25-54 (from 4.7/11), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/10) and added +300,000 viewers (from 14.00m, +2%). CRIMINAL MINDS was the night's #1 program in viewers.

At 10:00 PM, THE DEFENDERS was first in households (6.2/11), viewers (10.00m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.2/06). Compared to last week, THE DEFENDERS added +100,000 viewers (from 9.90m, +1%). THE DEFENDERS won the time period for the third straight week in viewers and adults 25-54.

For the night, CBS was first in households (7.3/12), viewers (12.10m), adults 25-54 (4.3/11) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09). CBS was first in these measures for the fifth consecutive Wednesday this season.
