Kirsten Vangsness To Reprise Her Role On Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior?

Quirky FBI computer technician Penelope Garcia may be pulling a double duty this coming season. I hear that CBS has approached Criminal Minds co-star Kirsten Vangsness to also appear on the upcoming Criminal Minds spinoff, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, on a regular or recurring basis. The network is already employing such cross-pollinating on NCIS and its spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles. Rocky Carroll, regular on the original series, also recurs on the spinoff, playing the same character, NCIS director Leon Vance.

Kirsten Vangsness will be part of the 2010 The San Diego Comic-Con, on July 24th at 2:00-3:00. She will be part of the Teching Out on TV segment were she will discuss the role that technology plays on Criminal Minds, how her character, Penelope Garcia relate to and use technology and how she, herself, use technology. Presentation will be held in Room 7AB.

Film Festival Event to help the LUNG CANCER FOUNDATION OF AMERICA

Ed Bernero, Executive Producer of CRIMINAL MINDS, the CM cast and crew, and Area 9 Productions are sponsoring a Film Festival Event on July 24 in Pasadena, California to benefit THE LUNG CANCER FOUNDATION OF AMERICA. It will showcase Andy Swan's body of work. Andy, who is part of the CRIMINAL MINDS family, was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in February.

Fabulous door prizes will be awarded to three lucky audience members, including a day on the set of CRIMINAL MINDS, a $1000 scholarship to Video Sympathy, and a seven night stay at Global Resort Homes in Orlando, Florida.
