  5. Yes, Jack and Jessica will be in that episode. Will be a very interesting episode.

  6. I have not watched CM for over 2 years due to my personal dislike of the Beth story, but that is just my preference. But, this epiode seems intriguing and more like an old episode of the show. I will definitely watch this episode since Hotch is my favorite character and the topic seems very interesting! I am happy I finally can watch a great episode.

  7. I can't wait for this episode, but a part of me feels a little like its four years too late.

I'm still excited for it though.

  8. Am really looking forward to this episode - we haven't had a really good Hotch episode in ages. I always felt that CM didn't follow up adequately on th aftermath of Hotch's injury experience. He's a very mop lex character and am so glad to see some aftermath now - even if t s a long time after th actual stabbing. I hope the episode gives enough time to this subject matter and that it is not a superficial "nod" to the Hotch fans!!

  9. Sorry for the typo in my previous post - it should read "Hotch is a complex character"......

  10. I always wondered when they were going to bring up the fact that Hotch should need all the same meds that Foyer needed. Its about time!

  11. I can't remember there being much follow up about the stabbing in season 5, they just moved onto the stalking....

I am excited, I just wish we had more follow up, and more of this story line for Hotch sooner (before/instead of Beth)

  12. Do my eyes deceive me, or is Bellamy Young not in this episode? Yet she was "necessary" for the big Hotch episode last season. Could it be they're dropping the whole Beth character? If so, thank you, Shonda Rhimes! If "Beth's" too busy being "Mellie", us CM fans don't have to deal with her no more!

  13. The could still mention her in someone way... Hopefully not, I'm with you, let Scandal keep BY, I like the actress do not like the Beth character....

  14. Can't wait for this episode! We were overdue a extended follow-up about the consequences the whole Foyet debacle had on Hotch, physically and mentally.

Have to say I don't mind too much the 4 years gap; scars have a funny way to become more than nuisances at any given time, because like our "dear" UnSubs, they evolve with time, and sometimes, devolve ;-)

About Beth: love the actress AND love the character, like many viewers do (otherwise she would have been gone after the first few episodes she appeared on).

But no matter what our feelings are about her, she must be referenced, a really good explanation about her abscence must be given; she's a big part of Hotch's life, anything else wouldn't make any sense (same case with them "forgetting" to explain Sean's abscence from Haley's funeral, only to have to rectify that 3 years later).

As I'm talking about their relationship, have to ask: how can people say it's out of character - or whatever - for Hotch? Where do that comes from? And please, before you answer, remember (or rewatch) the scenes of Hotch with Haley in Extreme Aggressor and in The Fisher King, part 1; I'm not a genius by any means, but neither do take kindly to be confused with a fool.

  15. Maria, I,m with you about Beth it would make no sense that if Hotch is fighting for his life and they do not reference to Beth. btw just because the actress will not be in the episode doesn't mean she will not be part of the storyline.

As for me I love the Beth. She is supporting of Hotch something Hayley stopped doing long before they were divorced. never understood the hate for a character who is at best on screen 3 minutes a year and is so supportive of Hotch.

Anyway, cannot wait to see this episode!

  16. Add me in with those who like Beth. I would love to see more interactions with her not less. She is a very pleasant light to Hotch's otherwise dark world. Hayley had become a witch.

  17. I liked the idea of Beth and I like to see Hotch happy, but I don't like what the relationship has become and I'm not sure the chemistry that was there is still there now, it's just always been a little cheesy and it seems more so now, to me.

I want so much more for Hotch and I would have preferred a better story line for Hotch for the last two years.

I'd rather the whole show would step away from the romance aspect if the agents lives. Personally, I think it's a weak spot and gives the show a feeling of soap opera rather than drama.

I'd rather see the teams personal lives in connection to the weekly case or character arc which furthers the character development. I don't really care for the bookend fluff.

I'd gladly say goodbye to, and never hear about again, Beth, Will, Kevin/Sam, Caroline, the Strauss romance angle, Maeve and whoever else if we got to see more of the team, why they do their job, their pasts, how they differ from each other, how they relate to each other, being in a dangerous situation, dealing with politics and big bads, what they like to do together as a group, more girls nights, see the boys hang out, literally there are 100,000 other things I'd love to see before they delve further into anyone's romantic lives. It's fine in passing, but I really don't care about their love lives when there's so much other stuff we don't know about the team.

  18. I like seeing the team and their family lives away from the BAU. I have full buy-in because the actors have said time and time again they want that to flesh out their characters more. I applauded EM and the writers for doing this for the actors.

And I'm in the "love Beth" camp.

  19. I am not a fan of Beth and hope that she does not appear for a long time. I preferred seasons 1-5 of CM and I hope there are not any Beth references in this epiode for once.

  20. I'm kind of anxious about the episode. It can be really good but also really bad if handled wrong. And, I'm with you Maria and all other people who love/like Beth.

  21. I also like Beth, honestly Haley was becoming kind of unreasonable. In the episode she left Hotch she was yelling at him with Jack in the house and in the end she was like: "Make sure you give your son a kiss goodbye" really? I get that it was hard for her to raise Jack by herself but by marrying Hotch she made a choice.Let us remember she also was having an affair(it was heavily hinted during the same episode 3.02).That really wasn't ok. At least Beth seems to understand the demands of Hotch's job.

It could be a great episode this one.I can hardly wait!

  22. I was wondering how they were going to bring back Haley and The Reaper. I knew it had to be some kind of flash back or dream sequence, but now the episode is sounding much more interesting. For the seriousness of Hotch's injuries when Foyet stabbed him, there wasn't any mention of the repercussions of the attack. As aaronemilylove stated, if Foyet was on so many drugs as a result of his (self inflicted) injuries, then Hotch should be on at least some of them, as well. I always anticipate an episode about Hotch, Thomas Gibson is such an eloquent, expressive actor and he isn't given nearly enough opportunity to shine as we all know he can. Can't wait for the 23rd.

  23. IT SURELY IS GOING TO BE AN AWESOME EPISODE. I M WITH BETH LOVERS. SHE SURELY UNDERSTANDS & SUPPORTS HOTCH. I SUPPORT THE IDEA THAT THIS WHOLE FOYET THING SHOULD COME IN HER KNOWLDGE. AS FOR HALEY'S AFFAIR STUFF THAT CAN ALSO MAKE PRETTY INTRESTING EPISODE..
beth makes hotch smile . so she rockss!!!

  24. Well, even though I was never a Haley fan, and I used to dislike her when she was complaining all the time about Hotch loving his work so much, now I wish she didn't die. Now, nine years older than I was, I came to understand that she was right about feeling abandoned with a child at home that was perceived as less important than a job. I have no issues about Hotch current romantic life, but the actress that plays Beth is just too boring and plain. Zero sparks and chemistry, so I am unsure about this episode. I guess, as always, we should just wait and see...
