The BAU will get a new boss on Wednesday's Criminal Minds, but he's an old, familiar face to one person.
Unbeknown to the rest of the team, JJ (A.J. Cook) has a history with newly instated section chief Mateo "Matt" Cruz (Esai Morales), with whom she worked at the State Department during her year away from the BAU. But don't think she recommended him for the vacated position (RIP Strauss!).
"She is completely shocked he's there. She is flipping out!" Morales tells TVGuide.com. "It's kind of funny. He plays it cool, but she doesn't know how to react. She definitely was not expecting to see him walk through the door, that's for sure."

I am looking forward to meeting the new guy, but as far as the history he has with this useless character, I could care less. But I've no doubt we will get tons of references to said history thru out the season. As oppose to the history between Blake and Reid where we virtually got no references at all and one wouldn't have known about it had they not read the spoilers.
ReplyDeleteI think it's going to be interesting to see what happened with JJ and the new section chief. I feel like we've gotten a backstory to almost every charachter, except JJ. I mean, I love all the characters and I don't have a favorite. But we barely know anything about JJ. Yes, we know her sister died when she was eleven, but that's all.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out what past JJ has with him. I just hope it isn't too much drama and I hope the spoilers haven't been making it bigger than it's really going to be.
I have to agree with anonymous about Reid and Blake. We barely found out anything about their history.
I still don't care, and I never will. I am planning on press FWD as soon as she is in the screen. The same goes with Garcia. I reached my point of no return with those two.
