  2. Boring... JJ and the new guy got slapped around, then they are retrieved by Prentiss and Morgan's team. End of the story. Sigh...

  3. We'll Ms Fabiana-if you don't like JJ than why don't you go and do something else next Wednesday night. Remember its the whole team that makes this show !!!

  4. You know what E.J, I myself are planning to do exactly that next Wednesday night. If it turns out better than I thought, I can always watch it online. It's not as if I'm going to effect the ratings by not watching it.
Btw I was just wondering and I'm sure a lot of other Hotch and Reid fans are wondering the same thing, but does the whole team also include them.Bc the show treats them at times as if they don't really matter all that much.

  5. Count me in as doing something else. I have no interest in watching another spy episode or one in which Prentiss is the main focus instead of the team. I have to agree, although Hotch had Route 66, Reid hasn't had any centric episodes. They said they were going to follow Hotch's reactions to the dream he had in Route 66 but that hasn't been followed up on either. I like JJ, I like the whole team. But I have always been disappointed that this milestone episode isn't about the team as a whole. Instead it's wasted on more of the spy/Interpol/Prentiss nonsense of season 6.

  6. I, for one, can not wait for Wednesday night. I feel this milestone episode it going to be the team, the ENTIRE team doing whatever they have to to find JJ and bring her back alive. And if that means breaking some rules or going over some peeps heads, they are going to do exactly that. The situation is that dire with JJ and Cruz.

And I do not see this as a super Prentiss vehicle either. In fact, a TV critic with TVLine, Matt (can't remember the last name; sorry), who has already SAW the episode has said it will not be super Prentiss.

So I'm going to sit back, not so patiently count the days and then at 7:55pm CDT on Wednesday, put my feet and get ready for a CM episode that I feel is going to rock the house.

    Bring it Rick Dunkle!

    1. I saw that but took it to mean that she wasn't going into any kind of ninja mode rather than not taking the focus off of the team. Erica said that Prentiss "is the driving force" in this episode, not the team. And once again with the Hotch "looks at" Prentiss nonsense. It's only one episode and I will be more than ready to watch every episode for the rest of the season. Up until now, I haven't missed a single one.

  7. Ok...First off ALL of you should know by now I have been VERY VERY vocal regarding the path this episode maybe taking. That said...A note to all of you.... GO WATCH the Canadian promo. From those scenes this is a BAU Team episode.
The TVline reviewer who mentioned a 'cannon twist' that was surprising. Well personally I believe that this twist is Hotch throwing side his desire to follow the rules and propriety in order to save JJ and Crus. After all in Lauren when Easter asked him if he could break his oath to take Doyle out he said 'No'....and look what that cost him. He's lost, Haley, Prentiss, Erin, even his brother all because he put propriety ahead of personal. Haley told him in Route 66 that the 'choices' were his....So now he makes a choice. Go against the brass and get all the help he can to save JJ & Cruz or sit back and allow the brass to cover their own asses and allow them to probably die.... Well we can see from the pictures that he 'changes' his way of thinking to get them back alive...

I'm still not 100% convinced that this won't be the JJ/Cruz/Prentiss show... BUT I will codicle that by saying I am feeling 90% better about the episode. Now if only I'm right I'll be on cloud 9.... It's a HUGE milestone episode and I want it all about the team....and their evolution in 9 yrs.
    Just my 2 cents.

  8. Well, Barbara, I really hope you will be right, and I wish I would be so confident about this episode, but I am prepared for the worst. If you take into consideration that they will display JJ and Cruz story, plus Emily's return, plus Will and Henry, plus Kevin's return to help Garcia, plus Strauss and the flashback (which at least will probably include Hotch), plus Anderson, and of course, some development regarding the unsub... What would be left? Instead of celebrating the labour of profilers, this is a story about undercover spies and their rescue, and we all know how it ends: JJ is rescued, Emily walks to the horizon and everything else comes back to place by the next episode.

    1. Do I think they could have picked a better story line.... Absolutely!
Do I think they could have used 'less' guest Stars....... Absolutely!
Do I think that JJ isn't the best character to carry this episode.....Absolutely!

Am I a bit more excited by what I'm seeing then I was a week ago.....Absolutely!

IF the writer/producer/TPTB couldn't come up with any other better storyline, then I will settle for it being about the team.

Will and Henry - First few seconds of episode....Then maybe at very end.
Kevin - seconds of screen time
Anderson & Gina - seconds of airtime....
Strauss/Cruz/JJ in desert - several minutes at least.
Unsub - tied to the whole mess so scattered throughout.. NOT a big case development episode.
Emily - A lot of air time, but hopefully mixed with team and profiling where and how the unsub has JJ...
JJ/Cruz - torture scenes - Beginning scenes, scattered flashes to show their condition and then ending rescue ( I think it's Cruz in Ambulance personally)

Finally - Bar scene that we've seen pictures on... Hopefully those were from an actual wrap party and NOT part of the episode. I don't think you can save JJ then drop right to happy bar scene in 42 minutes.

  9. Will I be watching next week's episode ... of course I will. I can't judge in advance how good the show will be based on a couple 30 second promo videos. I'm looking forward to seeing Prentiss working with the team again and how they interact with each other after her departure a year and a half ago. Will there be some tension between her and Blake? Is there resentment that she left for the new job in London? I know there won't be time to explore this, but what we do see might give us some insight into their interpersonal relationship with a former member who choses to leave the team.

Yeah ... this episode will be different from the norm ... but that's not necessarily bad.

  10. I don't get it, what so bad about jj having a big part in this episode?

    1. Probably it is just because it is the 200th episode, and some of us wouldn't mind a JJ centric episode, but in this particular milestone I wish they would have create something celebrating the job of the profilers and the team, with no special focus in one of them only. But, what's done is done and I don't run the show, so my opinion doesn't count at all.

    2. But when Hotch was the special focus of the 100th episode, it was all good and awesome right? Actually when Hotch had half a season focus it was also all good no? I wonder if you would still have a problem with the 200th episode focusing mostly on one character if it was your favourite character :)

    3. Hi lexipedia21!
Well, for the record, I didn't like the 100th episode neither, and I am pretty sure I won't like the 200th episode. I watch the reruns of older seasons, and what I miss is the richness of the stories they used to tell. Back in the earlier seasons there were episodes in which we would learn a thing or two about the characters, but the main storyline was focused on how criminal minds are born and raised, and how the people that works to stop them think and act to save lives with their intellectual skills. I don't like centric episodes of none of the characters, because I don't care how JJ and Will bath their child, or how Hotch looks like while training for a sport competition, or what's in Garcia's fridge. I don't care who is Morgan dating or if Reid will get a new girlfriend or not. Anytime the writers do an episode cantered in any of the characters the case is either neglected or it is just plain silly. Personal information scattered around, I am ok with that. Painful minutes of personal lives, I just couldn't care less. In earlier seasons there was a sense of ambiguity that has been lost since the previous writers team abandoned the ship. Now, it is all black and white, and the predictability of the episodes is alarming. Take the 200th episode, for instance. We know JJ is kidnaped along with the new boss, they are 'tortured', then they are rescued with the help of Emily, and that's it. I don't find that exciting at all...

  11. I also fear this will be the JJ/Prentiss.Cruz show although the promos show more team than I thought and I live in hope that it is better than I think. I still think there is a huge amount crammed into 42 minutes and I really cannot raise any interest in the JJ spy story. This milestone episode should have been completely team centric but however it turns out, JJ and Prentiss are going to overshadow the whole thing exactly as Messer and PB have always said in interviews. It would have been so nice to have a classic, intelligent, CM episode - this kind of storyline is atypical and clearly aimed at the younger viewers who have come to the CM fandom late. I guess we will see but I am not holding my breath.
