This thread is open for you all to post comments and talk about tonight's new CRIMINAL MINDS episode, titled 'Bully', and written by Virgil Williams.
Hope you've enjoyed today's episode, the last one aired in 2013. More to come starting Jan 15th, 2014!
So I'm up to bat first?? I was never much of a lead-off hitter, but here goes.
ReplyDeleteObviously this was a Blake episode and I enjoyed it. We got to see another side of Alex. She isn't a total rock star. She has issues, just like all the rest of the team. It was a refreshing look into Alex. I've always liked her; I like her a lot more now.
While the ep was Blake heavy, the rest of the team was around in equal parts. I really loved the pairings on the tactical at the high school. Hotch/Blake, Rossi/Morgan and Reid/JJ. And JJ was her soft wonderful self in this one again. Don't get me wrong. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I love a**-whooping JJ. However, its still nice to see the soft side of her that I've come to love about her.
The unsub part was meh, at best in my opinion. However, I must give kudos to the Chi-Town Kid Virgil Williams on opening the ep with ending a case. In a Twitter discussion, a bunch of us CMers agreed that has never been done before.
However, my fav part was the end! When Garcia walking into the living room, I was WTH?? Yet, Virgil sent us fans into our four weeks of CM withdrawal with a great team moment. Perfect touch from Da Bears fan (and I'm a Packer fan).
Final score: 9.0 for so-so unsub plotline.
Loved the episode. Yes as Rocky said this was a Blake episode but it was a good one that gave us a look at where she comes from.
ReplyDeleteThe unsub part was ok. Can understand where the guy came from, not easy to stand by and watch someone get bullied or be bullied but that still didn't excuse what he did.
The start was pretty interesting with the ending of a case. The guy was pretty creepy. Love to see his reaction when he heard people walking over head, we could follow the FBI walking from one side of the house to the basement door. That scene was excellent.
Blake relationship with her brother was very strained, nice ploy by their dad to make them talk to each others but really how bad it was that they needed a serial murders to get to talk to each others!
The actor/actress who plauyed the grieving relatives were excellent, especially the father. At first I could not understand what he was hiding from the Miller and Blake but when it was reveal i felt so sorry for him.
Last but not least, the last scene , first with Garcia who was OBVIOUSLY smitten by Scott! Who could fault her? :) then the team having bbq at the Blake house was just great! Love scenes like that, when the team spend times together.
So, all and all very good episode give it a 8.5/10!
My fave S9 episode so far. Goosh, i will love Virgil forever for this episode. I so waited to see this one. Great that we get to know Blake more. Her father was so awesome, brother not so much..at least at the beginning. And for my surprise ending made me cry. I did not see that coming. That was perfect way to end this episode :)
ReplyDeleteAnother thing i loved about this episode, was the beginning. At first i thought i missed something :D
Loved how Virgil wrote that..smth different. Liked it very much. Also..Blake and Rossi scene :)
Such a great episode. Need to watch it again.
Unsub plot was little bit weak, but i liked it. It was horrifying to see that flashback..boy only in women's panties and other kids laughing..It made me sick and angry. And this happens in real life too..this scares me the most.
