  1. Thank you for posting the press summary for 7x09 "Self-Fulfilling Prophecy." I can't help but wonder if the "team member" referred to here is Chief Strauss. She has some sort of problems as was established at the end of Season 6 and she IS in this episode. It even occurred to me that her son could be attending that academy.

I'm thinking if Strauss and Hotch are keeping mum about something, Derek might see this as Hotch keeping secrets again. It seems to me that I saw a different spoiler earlier this year that said something about Morgan butting heads with both Hotch and Strauss.

If I'm mistaken, and the "team member" in question is one of the main team members, then I would like it to be Reid. I doubt that it will be him, though. But it would be nice to see Morgan in protective big brother mode again!

I know they don't really have team members going undercover but Reid might be able to pass as a student or teacher at the academy. That could possibly put him in danger. Morgan might be against the assignment for this reason while Hotch feels it is their best chance at resolving the case. Any other theories? If anybody has any to share, I'd be most interested in "hearing" them.

  2. Wow Sue, never would've thought about Strauss's son. I'm hoping it's Reid though. I don't want another "Revelation" situation, but I just want to see something exciting happen. I am a total Reid fangirl, so of course I wanna see some Reid action! XD I just can't wait for 7.11, "True Genius"!!!! If anyone knows some spoilers to share about that upcoming episode, please do! Thanks in advance :)Also anything about Reid's headaches; I've heard nothing else about them. I hope there are no rules or anything against that... If so, I'M TOTALY UNAWARE!!

  3. I was under the impression that the headache issue was resolved last season in the episode "With Friends Like These". Reid has his little heart to heart with Morgan and then at the end of the episode we see him sleeping peacefully on the plane, which led me to believe that the headaches were psychosematic, especially since that was the last we heard of them.

  4. ..Now I gotta go back and look. But didnt Erica Messer say they would say something else abou his headaches later in the season? I thought she did...

  5. Like Sue, I think the case will have something to do with Strauss and her son. One of the writers said in a chat "Strauss has a secret". And Hotch probably knows the secret and the team doesn`t. But I don`t think Strauss will be the team member in peril. I don`t consider her a member of the team.

My guess is it will either be Reid or the this season omnipresent JJ.

  6. Hi, it's me again. I really appreciate everybody's comments thus far! It is going to be interesting to see who the team member in question will be. As a huge Reid fan, I'd love for it to be him! MGG does the vulnerable stuff so well and Shemar's Morgan is protective of Reid. He is good at putting this across.

I agree that Strauss is not really a main team member but the shows are good at misleading people with their press releases sometimes, so I thought it might be her.

Like Gabby, who commented above, I would LOVE to learn more about "True Genius" as soon as any spoilers/information becomes available. It's going to be a long wait for the episode to air as it is! So I hope spoilers are okay here when/if anybody has some to share.

Erica M. did say in her chat in a transcript I read that Reid's headaches would be addressed this season. I can't recall where I read it but it was also stated that the headaches would linger on. I assume that will be included in later episodes this season. One of the writer's said his take on it would be stress related but that this was ONLY his take. He did not say that this was going to be the case. Also, before the season 7 started, Erica M. stated that Reid had a great arc this season. I'm hoping that this is in addition to the "True Genius" episode and that it will be as good as the build-up! There was talk of Jane Lynch returning but I don't know if she will actually be available.

I hope I haven't stated too much here as far as spoilers go. I have no actual information just second hand stuff I have read and/or heard. If spoilers are not allowed do let us know. Some of us are relatively new here and just excited about the show!

Thanks again all and keep the comments/observations coming. I really enjoy reading other's opinions and speculation about upcoming episodes!

  7. I heard that Reid's 30th birthday is coming up this season and it causes him to question if he is really putting his "genius" to the right career. It makes him wonder if he is possibly not achieving his true potential. So that could be some part of what is coming up.
