What a season finale on Criminal Minds! WOOHOO JJ!! But I’m worried about these shake-ups. Unless Seaver leaves. Then I’m okay with it. Any news for me? — Marge
Don’t misinterpret JJ’s return as a push to the exit for Seaver (Rachel Nichols) so fast there, Marge. Per EP Erica Messer: “No, it doesn’t necessarily mean [she's leaving]. Honestly, they’re not the same character. And I think it was unfortunate because they look so much alike that people rejected Seaver because she seemed like she was a replacement for JJ,” she said. “As far as I’m concerned, she is a part of this team…I don’t want her to just disappear.”
I hope Seaver stays with the team. I like the character.
ReplyDeleteThat's disappointing news. I hope she doesn't return next season. Her character is useless and she takes lines away from the rest of the great cast.

ReplyDeleteSeaver is an ill-conceived character that doesn't stand a chance to win over most of the CM fans, myself included. Main, and now only reason being that Seaver has offered nothing and CAN'T offer nothing believable because a newly graduate agent NEVER would be offered a job in the BAU, one of the most elitist and small units in the FBI.

I personaly really want Seaver gone. It's not about not being able to accept new characters. It's about the fact that the character makes no sense. Why is a rookie on what's supposed to be an elite team? And the way they introduced her character on the show was ridiculous. They solved some pretty complexes cases on their own, but yet they needed her help to solve that stupid case. WTF? I think her character is forever going to be tainted by that. It irritates me so much when I watch the new episodes that I'm really tempted to stop watching. And now all three actresses on the show are blondes. Hello, diversity anyone?

ReplyDeleteOk, I have nothing against Seaver or Rachael Nichols. I'm happy she has a job, but I do have a question... Why did they get rid of AJ, but they turned around and hired someone else? Why didn't they just keep AJ?

ReplyDeleteInitially I hated everything about Seaver. Somehow, however, she has managed to find a way into my TV heart in only a small number of episodes. Criminal Minds hasn't been realistic since the third season. If this was Prime Suspect I would be up in arms about the implausibility of her character, but as it is, I kind of like her. Besides, I remember everyone hating Emily when she took over for Elle (I was deffos on that bandwagon) and she has since become one of the most beloved characters. I say give Seaver a chance. Especially if they bring back both JJ and Emily (which seems likely).

ReplyDeleteI really hope they get rid of SEAVER!! She is inexperienced and takes lines away from the other cast members. She is a rookie on a very elite team of profilers. She is annoying and she dosen't have what it takes to be a series regular. Also, I really hope she is not a possible love interest for Reid. She will ruin the show please replace her. Maybe with Brooke William or somebody like that. Bring Emily and JJ back but please get rid of SEAVER!!! SHE DOSEN'T BELONG ON THE TEAM

ReplyDeleteI really love Seaver's personality and actress and basically I love her she is awesome and in my head she never left and the crappy send off they gave her (was it two or three lines?) Made me almost turn off my tv and jj in my opinion is a useless character as in when she left Hotch n Garcia took over her job making it seem to me as if her job (and her actual existence on the show) was completely unnecessary to how well the team got the unsub and I didn't even like prentiss until season 6 cuz she replaced elle whom I actually liked so all your crap about I hate Seaver I just skip over it till I get to the I LOVE HER's and my heart smiles like when I see a bunch of puppies and kittens playing in a field of daisies with Reid spouting statistics and Seaver sitting next to him (yes I totally frakin ship them so hard) and your flames will keep Reid and Seaver warm and cozy during the harsh winter and set a romantic mood for them
