CRIMINAL MINDS filming a scene

Press Telegram, Long Beach, CA

SHAPING "MINDS": Folks in and around Naples Bayside Academy were alerted this week about filming for the TV series "Criminal Minds" that would be going on in front of the school Thursday at 5537 The Toledo.

Film activity, the notice noted, would consist of "exterior dialogue, picture cars driving up/away, talent crossing the street/entering school, weapons brandished, camera/equipment on property and intermittent pedestrian control."

"Weapons brandished? At an elementary school? With kids all over the place?" we yelped, our hair sticking straight up and eyes popping out a good six-eight inches. See how they stuck that in there right between people walking around and camera gear?

WEAPONS BRANDISHED!!!
Well, as is the case 100 percent of the time, we got all upset over nothing.
"Everything took place outside on the street in front of the school," said the academy's principal, Diane Prince.

"It didn't disrupt anything; lunch, recess, classes all went on as usual."
The scene pretty much had some show "talent" crossing the street - excuse us - crossing The Toledo, and walking up to the school's front door.

Filming was to have wrapped up before school got out. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.
