Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 8

Jind Allah, portrayed by Anthony Azizi, in Lessons Learned (S2, Ep 10)

Jind Allah was an especially nasty UNSUB who basically wanted to destroy every human being in the United States. Was it any wonder he was “detained” at Guantanamo? His lies thwarted the team for awhile but through the fancy footwork of Garcia, Prentiss and Reid they figured out his lies and enabled Gideon to manipulate him into betraying himself. He thought he was pulling one over on Gideon so it was so especially satisfying to see the smug, superior look on his face be replaced by one of fear and confusion because Gideon ended up being the one who pulled one over on him.

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 7

Vincent Perotta, portrayed by Patrick Kilpatrick, in Natural Born Killer (S1, Ep 8)

Vincent Perotta was a serial killer with the perfect job – he was a hit man. He only killed men though (killing his father over and over again), but he was thrown off his game when there was a woman at his last job – he brutally tortured and murdered the men, but the woman, he killed her quickly with no torture. This brought him to the attention of the BAU and once they had him in custody, we got a tantalizing piece of Hotch backstory – his father physically abused him! We also met Agent Kramer from the Baltimore Field Office and found out that the actor portraying him was once under consideration for the role of Hotch. WTF?!?!

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 6

Megan Kane, portrayed by Brianna Brown, in Pleasure is My Business (S4, Ep 16)

She can also be considered a victim and we think this is why she stands out in our memory... there is no excuse/motive good enough for her actions and yet we felt some empathy for her and certainly were almost sad that she died at the end. She’s a two-fer (2 for 1).

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 5

Eric Ryan Olson, portrayed by Johnny Lewis, in Zoe’s Reprise (S4, Ep 15)

It was chilling to see this young guy ”in training” to become a serial killer by trying out the methods of other serial killers that came before him. He “studied” how to do it by reading Rossi’s books. And ewwww, he had sex outdoors with his girlfriend at all the kill sites. One of our ookier unsubs.

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 4

Randall Garner, portrayed by Charley Rossman and voiced by Charles Haid, in Fisher King I and II (S1, Ep 22 & S2, Ep 1)

Randall Garner, or The Fisher King, was the first UNSUB to go after the team in a deluded effort to bring back his daughter and the family he lost in a tragic fire. He attacked the team members where they were most vulnerable and where they felt the safest – in their homes. It could be argued that he nearly did the world a favor by almost killing Elle, but that’s a story for another day.

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 3

Frank Breitkopf, portrayed by Keith Carradine, in No Way Out (1) and No Way Out (2): The Evilution of Frank (S2, Eps 13 and 23)

Frank was a very disturbed man who had a warped sense of humor (telling Gideon that he wanted to “pick” his brain or saying “what’s the psychopath got in the bag, Jason?”). He was the most prolific serial killer Gideon and the team hunted. He went to Golconda every year to see Jane, and finally got his prize, but when she left him, he went hunting by systematically killing everyone that meant something to Gideon to get her back. He did it all for the love of Jane! CREEPY! Share your thoughts about Frank.

Criminal Minds Favorite Unsubs - Part 2

Here is our second offering of our favorite Criminal Minds UNSUBS

Tobias Hankel, portrayed by James Van Der Beek, in The Big Game and Revelations (S2, Eps 14 and 15)

A triple split personality? Who, besides Sybil has more than one multiple personality? Sorry, that had to be said. Tobias Hankel was a tortured soul who you could feel sorry for, what with a religious zealot for a father and his own heavy drug use, he truly lost touch with the real world when he went on his killing spree. The fact that he captured our beloved Reid, injected him with hallucinogenic drugs and brutally murdered people and posted his kills on the internet earns a special place in our UNSUB Hall of Fame. What do you love to hate about Tobias Hankel?

Criminal Minds Favorite UNSUB

We were sitting at the round table the other day talking about our favorite Criminal Minds UNSUBS and VICTIMS. After we were done, we looked at our list and saw that there were 14 UNSUBS and VICTIMS. We also realized that during the two weeks that the Olympics will be contested, there would be no new Criminal Minds episodes aired. So, we decided to post one UNSUB or VICTIM per day during this two-week period. First the UNSUBs. I think our first offering is everyone’s favorite, but the others will be in no particular order.

The Reaper/George Foyet, portrayed by C. Thomas Howell, in Omnivore, To Hell …. And Back, Faceless, Nameless and 100 (S4, Ep 18, S4, Ep 25, S5, Ep 1, and S5, Ep 9, respectively) .

Mere words cannot express the evil that is The Reaper. From his horrible murders, to taunting Hotch by corresponding with The Fox, he haunted the entire team until Hotch beat the stuffing out of him in 100. He is especially reviled because he hurt one of our own emotionally and physically and cold-heartedly murdered Haley while the entire team listened over the phone. He is the only UNSUB to give us nightmares. What do you think about The Reaper?
